Reporting to the Manager/Director of the Emergency Department you will be directly responsible for determining the educational needs of the nursing staff in the emergency setting. This includes serving as a resource person and providing guidance to other licensed and non-licensed personnel.
We seek a highly motivated, forward-thinking and dedicated individual with demonstrated leadership skills and outstanding interpersonal communication abilities. Must have at least five years of clinical experience in the emergency setting and two years of emergency nursing experience. One or more years as a nurse educator is preferred. Qualified candidates will have a current CA RN license, AHA or Red Cross CPR Card. Certification of TNCC, PALS, CEN and MICN preferred. A Master’s of Science in Nursing degree is necessary but a Master’s degree in nursing education or adult education is preferred.
